Thoughs of Society

A few nights ago, I went onto Chat Roulette, just for the hell of it. I only talked to one "partner," it happened to be a group of teenagers surprised that they were having an actual conversation on there; considering most of the people on the site are just jerking off. They didn't know me, and yet they failed to treat me with respect like what would be normally acceptable in society. They were very rude, and kept laughing. Asking me if I was a dude, and what colour I was. Asking me if I just shit on myself. It disgusted me. I thought that people had more respect for strangers. What is society today anyway? Darting eye contact just to make sure that people aren't watching you, small smiles to feel polite. Society is a joke, in my opinion. The human race likes to think that we have respect for things, when we actually don't. There's always bound to be a few things that we disrespect, a child that is annoying, an elder that you think "won't remember it," an animal that you don't like because it's annoying. I have faults, too. Everybody does. What is the point in us all being here, if we can't all get along. We go into Elementary school with high spirits, come out of it with broken or condescended spirits, depending on how we were treated according to our clothes we had, and our weight, sometimes even our last names, or first names. From the start we are poked and prodded by society, told that because we dress this way, look like this, or came from this lineage, we are crap, or we are better than the rest. It's disgusting. Then, we go into Middle School, and the pain stays with us. The teachers accuse us for what Elementary School bullying made us become, or praise those who fucked up kids in Elementary School. By the time we are in Junior High, or High School, we all are divided into our little groups that we are accepted into, because of the way we dress, act, look, or our neighborhoods. Society is a nasty system of grouping, but what is it all for? College comes, and we all are supposed to have respect, and get to know people out of our bubbles, but deep down, it's still in our program. Don't talk to her, she has dreads. Don't talk to him, he smells like pot. Don't sit next to her, she's fat. Don't talk to him, he's a surfer, he'll never reply. Deep down, we all feel like there are groups we don't belong in. Then there are the people that I met on Chat Roulette, the people who are so comfortable with their social group, that they feel the need to poke, prod, and joke about other people. I don't get it. Society makes me sad. Why did we even come up with such a horrible system anyway?
