Introduction
Hello readers and welcome to my blog. I am a witch, on her path to being a high Priestess. I have chosen the Green Path, and this is my very first blog. I am 20 years old, and I'm from Northeast Ohio. In my life I have explored several paths. I attended Catholic churches, Baptist churches, Lutheran Churches, Christian and Nondenominational churches, none of which would ever live up to what I was introduced to at a very young age: Paganism. When I was only five I can remember my mother and father having an altar set up in our living room. It consisted of a piece of dry drift wood, an abalone shell and sage bundles, sweet grass, candles, an incense bowl filled with sand that smelled like all of the incense ever burned in it, and a wooden incense box that they kept their incense in. My mother, sisters and I would all meditate together, practicing the calming meditation because we all often were excitable. Smudging our new homes was a regular act in our home, and once a month we all were smudged, even the house was twice a year. Those times were peaceful.
When my family moved to Arkansas those things quickly vanished. Mom no longer meditated with us, Dad no longer smudged the houses, or us. Incense was downsized to just an air freshener. I was confused. They forced me to go to a Baptist church, next was the Salvation Army. I just went with the motions, all of this seemed so funny. They were copying Pagan traditions and claiming them as their own. I was only 14 at this time, so I went with the flow. My parents changed, they became boring and acted like grandparents. I missed the way my parents used to be. Eventually I met a friend who had a mother who was a High Priestess, and I went back to my original path. Now, I am called Salix Moonchild, and this is my journey.
